Ever since I can remember I've been surrounded by all kinds of animals, from cats, dogs, hamsters, birds, rabbits to horses. Currently, I have three cats, Monty, Roxy, and our newest addition, Cleo who keep us very busy! When I was 12 I started my own business in South Africa called Sharing and Caring Pet Services where my sister and I would look after, walk, feed and cuddle our neighbour's cats and dogs over the school holidays. I've definitely been at this for a while and it has most certainly played a big role in inspiring me to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine. For three years I have been involving myself in as much work experience and volunteer opportunities to prepare myself as much as possible for university and my future career. Because of this, I have pretty much seen everything from snotty noses to broken bones so I think it's safe to say I am not phased by anything and have a bit of experience when it comes to monitoring the health of the little guys!
