I'm a teacher here in Dubai and have been teaching for over 15 years. I am great with children and cats. I have an 11 year old son who is the primary caregiver to our cat and does an exceptional job. He feeds, cleans, and changes her litter. So your pet would have as much (or as little) attention as he/she needs between the two of. And if you have any concerns about our bombay cat, our 10 month old Naomi is super chill and friendly!
